We bid farewell to our esteemed president and the founder of Fair Recycling with great regret and deep sorrow. He will be greatly missed within our organisation.

In 2008, Andreas founded the Fair Recycling Foundation with the goal of combining climate protection and recycling while never losing sight of social aspects such as recycling education, fair working conditions and economic viability. This comprehensive understanding of sustainability was close to his heart. This ambitious vision is being implemented in Brazil. In collaboration with the local partner Indústria Fox, end-of-life refrigerators containing CFCs and HFCs are being recycled in an appropriate manner. This process prevents greenhouse gas emissions, creates high-quality jobs and generates cost-effective CO₂ certificates.
 

Andreas’s tireless dedication to his passion project inspired and impressed us all. Through his commitment and perseverance, he touched the lives of many, creating a lasting and positive impact. His example has profoundly shaped our foundation’s culture and strengthened our sense of unity, and we are deeply grateful for the time we shared and the legacy he leaves behind. We will honour his memory and continue to carry forward his vision for the foundation.
